Joe has practical experience in the coordination of
5 star green buildings, Joe can lead the design team through the evaluation of a Green Star design and submission to the NZGBC.
ESD in a modern building is important for any client who cares about running
costs and has a defined corporate environmental policy, for developers many
tenants want to know about the sustainability of the building they are about to
lease and in a competitive market it may be the difference between securing a
tenant or not.
ESD looks at HVAC engineering, rainwater harvesting, comfort of occupants,
energy efficiency, access to public transport, materials and just about every
other part of a building in order to provide a more sustainable design and
lower ongoing operational costs.
